EAGLES FALL TO FALCONS, 42-6

Host Ferguson dominated Southwest, 42-6, Thursday afternoon on the Falcons campus. The Eagles (2-3) fell behind, 21-0, until scoring late in the first half. Livan Morales caught passes of 15 and 41 yards, the latter good for a touchdown with 1:43 remaining on the clock. The extra point attempt was blocked. Southwest almost scored again on its final drive of the game. With a running clock due to the 36-point margin, Matthew Lefevre caught a pass for 15 yards, then another for 16 yards that saw him carry much of the Falcons defense on his back as he fought for extra yardage. Another Pedro Carbrera to Lefevre pass was good for 41 yards, but time ran out with the Eagles on the Ferguson 13-yard line. The Falcons, who lost several games to lightning, are now 1-1.
